Lights! Canberra! Action!
Lights! Canberra! Action! Will screen the top twelve finalists in the Senate Rose Gardens at the Museum of Australian Democracy on the 8th of March from 7pm. Each year film markers are given a list of ten items to include in their film, and more importantly, only ten days to shoot, edit and produce a seven-minute film exploring a theme. This year to celebrate 50 years of the moon landing, the theme will be 'a small step'. With the winners announced after the screening, it makes for a great evening of movie watching.
Canberra will once again light up on the 16th of March, with Skyfire! 2019 will deliver an amazing light display set to a soundtrack created by Hit 104.7 on the banks of Lake Burley Griffin. Before the fireworks, there will be free entertainment at Regatta Point.
Symphony in the Park
The Canberra Symphony Orchestra will be performing at stage 88 on Sunday the 10th of March from 7pm. The Orchestra will be performing a new interpretation of music we all know and love. So sit back and enjoy the music in the open air and a beautiful location!
