The more you practice, the better you get
Need to improve your spoken English? Or do you have a friend or relative seeking to gain confidence in spoken English? Marrickville Library, in cooperation with Mission Australia offers English Conversation Classes, with an opportunity to learn about other cultures and Australian values, while practising speaking and listening in a supportive, friendly environment.

English Dictionary


Students must register before attending, and registration forms are available at the library, and contain more detail on the full requirements. Students are only permitted to attend one class per week.

Term 1 is underway, finishing on April 11. Term 2 begins April 22nd, and finishes 27th of June.

Beginners class is at Marrickville Library on Tuesdays, 2-4pm or Wednesdays 2-4pm.

Intermediate class is held at Marrickville Library on Mondays, 1-3pm and Fridays, 1-3pm.

Mixed Classes are held at either St Peters Library, Tuesday 10am -12pm or Stanmore Library on Fridays, 10 -12pm.

So if you want to improve your English, and open some more doors to friendship, then grab a form and book a place!
