I was caught by surprise recently when I visited one of my favourite op shops - the sight upon walking into Endeavour's vintage and retro specialty store at Paddington was like an unexpected breath of fresh air.
The space has been gutted and completely made anew. They have painted the interior white, accentuating the high ceilings and creating a light and expansive feel.
Fancy new dressing rooms and a dead centre serving counter are amongst the changes. One of the most glaring changes however is the new level of organisation - it's absolutely brilliant, with a place for everything and everything in its place (organisation was previously a bit of a schmozzle).
Upstairs still stocks labels, women's bags and a whole wall of colour co-ordinated women's shoes, with the back of the store dedicated to vintage and retro fashions. A very impressive men's section has also been set up which stocks an extensive range of clothing, shoes, hats, ties, belt and bags.
Downstairs the clothing is pure vintage and retro. A small wall of books and a very large wall of bric-a-brac stand at one end, with clothing occupying the majority of the remaining space. Dead centre is a new music display housing the store's vinyl collection.
