Movement, light and dazzling entertainment combine when one of the nation's top physical theatre companies, Stalker Theatre, brings their newest production, Encoded, to Riverside Theatres from 23rd to 25th October.
Through the use of interactive technology made to recreate an " immersive digital environment", Encoded will delight the whole family, as dancers move horizontally and vertically, all the while sharing the stage with a multi-media light display that responds to movement.
The technology behind the lights will bring a new dimension to the stage. Using interactive 3D and video gaming technology, the aerial dance production fuses the physical and digital space, and will enhance your experience of live performance.
Artistic director of Stalker Theatre and director of Encoded, David Clarkson, says, "For Encoded I started out asking what happens if we mask space and architecture? This led me to explore notions of the cultural perceptions of space - how our identity in the world around us has changed: from the renaissance, to the industrial revolution and forwards into the creation of Virtual Space. What are we humans doing with space – and what is space doing to us!"
Catch Encoded for three nights only (23, 24 and 25 October 2014) at the Riverside Theatres, Parramatta. Tickets available now.
