This spring, leave the 'concrete jungle' for a real jungle experience, right in the heart of Lane Cove!
The 19th annual Jungle Chalet Watergarden Artscape returns over three spectacular evenings this September! Tickets are now on sale for this popular family-friendly event.
Don Murchison's Jungle Chalet is set in a rainforest enclave beside the Lane Cove Bushland Park. On Saturday 7, 14 and 21 September, The Chalet will come to life, with sculptured streams, ponds and waterfalls, complemented with vibrant and colourful lights, laser and fog effects, atmospherics and lit-up leadlight windows.
Enjoy the peaceful Sculptured Rainforest Walk and Reservoir Illusion and immerse yourself in this beautiful and illuminated nature-inspired setting. Make sure to keep a lookout for some surprises along the way, including 'Gorilla in the Mist', 'Spouting Elephant', 'Voice Tube', sprung bridges and other delightful attractions!
Created by Don Murchison, The Jungle Chalet features "hygromorphomatics" - the harvesting of rainwater, to create artificial streams, ponds and waterfalls, accompanied by the real sound dynamics of moving water. Rainwater is harvested from all hard surfaces, then recycled around the watergarden.
Don has personally placed every piece of sandstone and pebble to replicate nature in this miniature wonderland and invites you and your family to experience it this spring over three nights.
The entry charge is as follows:
