The Tweed Coast has been described as one of the most picturesque places to live. Given this, it is no wonder that the area boasts the highest rates of artists per head in Australia.
One of these upcoming artists is Latesha Houston. Latesha's daily activity consists of a good coffee at a local cafe and a walk with her camera to capture some of the natural beauty of the area.
Being spoilt for choice was how Latesha described the opportunity to create her artworks. Her walks around the valley present so much diversity and as a nature artist birds, flowers, and the hidden pockets of the Tweed Valley provide wonderful inspiration.
Latesha is holding her first exhibition entitled 'Enchanted' at Northern Rivers Community Gallery from September 20 – 15 October 2017. There will be a launch event Thursday 21 September from 5.30 -7.30pm with a chance to meet the artists.
The works are vibrant, joyful and capture the delight of everyday nature by using plants and birdlife as subjects to paint the nature of the Northern Rivers.
