What better way to spend a cold Melbourne evening then by sitting in a warm room listening to storytellers speak words so magical, that they send visuals to your mind which transform you to another place.
An Enchanted Evening is a unique event that is run at Abbotsford Convent's Bishop's Parlour on the fourth Sunday of every month. The story tellers for this month were Clare Coburn, Niki Pidd, and Ashley Ramsden who is visiting from London.
The storytellers tell tales that fall under a different theme each month – this month was all about Gods and Goddesses, folklore tales and legends from different parts of the world.
The cost for the event was $20 and then there is supper available for an extra $7 during the interval, offering a wide range of cakes , a fruit plate, and tea and coffee. The start time is 7pm and the event finishes at 9pm.
This event really is something special, the complete package. The venue is so amazing and the story telling is so dramatic that there is no way you could get bored or lose your train of thought. I highly recommend this night to anyone who loves stories and is looking for a great way to spend a cold Sunday evening.
