Located on Bathurst Street (close to Castlereagh) is - a tiny Spanish deli with a large array of salamis and a mouth watering selection of baguettes.

The dining area is tiny and very casual - bar stools for chairs and large barrels for tables (or the benches along the back wall and window).

The shop area is divided into two sections; the aforementioned dining area and a packaged produce store.

The menu is up on the blackboard and orders are placed at the counter.

The baguettes (known as bocadillos), which arrive are on a metal plate, are toasty, warm and fresh. Priced at around $10 each, they're good value for what you get and you generally leave satisfied.

The bread is lovely - crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside (true perfection).

My dining companion ordered the 'Portugues' - a spiced grilled chicken, tomato, rocket and herb aioli bocadillo. There were oohing and ahing sounds to follow.

The 'Tortilla' is another favourite - a bocadillo with Spanish omelette and roasted peppers.

I've visited twice now, and have to admit I ordered the same baguette both times - a tomato rubbed bocadillo with fresh prosciutto.

To wash down your bocadillos, there's a decent selection of fresh juices and other standard beverages.

Do try out , but if it's nice weather, take your bocadillo out to the park and enjoy the sunshine as the wait for a table or bench spot can be tedious.
