You know how, since the dawn of humanity, great philosophers and poets have dedicated their entire lives to exploring concepts like love, life itself, logic, and sorrow? Well, those great philosophers and poets are dead now, so I win. — Shen
Emotions Explained with Buff Dudes is a collection by Andrew Tsyaston of Owl Turd Comics, who also creates comics for College Humor, Naver Webtoon and the Daily Dot. The comics are mostly about Shen, a sort of self-insert of the author, and his struggles with Life, represented by a "buff dude", who beats him up daily. The humour is reminiscent of the Oatmeal or Sarah's Scribbles.

Emotions Explained with Buff Dudes is a fun, slightly cynical comic collection that can easily be enjoyed in one sitting. It's about life, death, making art and overthinking things, so there's probably something for everyone to relate to somewhere in these pages.
