Stillness in Motion Yoga invites you to join their latest special event, Increasing Emotional Awareness on Saturday 2nd November, 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
Increasing Emotional Awareness will be facilitated by Cultivating Emotional Balance (CEB) teacher Rob Milan and explores the experience of emotions as a path to happiness.
What's the difference between an emotion and a mood? Are emotions good or bad? Why should I care? It turns out that having an insight on our emotional life and how we think about our emotions impacts our well being. For example, in an experiment researchers found people who viewed emotions as good or bad became more stressed when giving an impromptu talk and those who accepted their emotional experience did not become as stressed.
In this workshop, we'll explore emotions from contemplative and scientific perspectives, learning and practising a multi-faceted model to well being which uses meditation, discussion and learning about the causes and conditions for different emotions so that we can relate to them with more wisdom.
Increasing Emotional Awareness is open to all and forms part of the CEB course – which draws from the wisdom of contemplative meditation practices and emotional research.
The participation fee is $45 per person and bookings are essential as places are strictly limited. Secure your place today at stillnessinmotionyoga.com.au/product/emotional-awareness
