A Friendly Place
Situated on the Pacific Highway, between Crows Nest and North Sydney, is a small family-run establishment called Emoji café. I pop in multiple times a week to grab a coffee while on my way to the office.
Not only am I a fan of their Black Drum coffee, but equally impressed with the level of service. Always, with a smile and a sense of gratitude for being a loyal customer and, most importantly, a small complimentary cookie with my coffee.
The shop is quite quaint, nothing grand or fancy, but big enough to seat 25 people comfortably. The layout is perfect for corporate types to use their laptops while enjoying their morning breakfast or for students, who want to get a bit of study time in whilst enjoying a bit to eat.
Since I haven't been there at lunchtime, I can't comment on the lunchtime menu, but starting my working day by grabbing a well-made piping hot cup of coffee with good service and seeing the smiling faces of the staff, helps me start my day off on the right foot.
