Villanova Players was formed in 1948, and has been producing plays and nurturing the theatrical talents of the people of Brisbane for over sixty years. Their first production for 2019 is Emma, adapted from the novel by Jane Austen.

Emma by Jane Austen

Austen's Emma Woodhouse is beautiful, spoilt, and witty, and keeps busy by organising the lives of the inhabitants of the sleepy little village in which she lives. Continuously playing matchmaker for her neighbours she notoriously couples people who are totally wrong for each other.

Of course, there's a twist.

Do you think Emma can sort her own life? No way, Jose!
