Sneak a peek behind the scenes of Animal Farm, Zoo Paradise, Tap Zoo, and Pet Shop apps by discovering the real life stars at their secret hiding place Emirates Park Zoo Abu Dhabi.

Beware you're about to enter Abu Dhabi's wild life, so hold on to your water bottles and prepare yourself for an adventure of a lifetime.

Emirates Park Zoo Abu Dhabi is the first private zoo in the UAE and one of the must-visit places when travelling between Abu Dhabi and Dubai (since it's just 45 minutes from Dubai and 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi) or just wanting to have a family weekend escapade. You and your family will get to taste the real Wild Wild Abu Dhabi. I am not talking about strolling in the park while watching animals trapped in cages, but rather interacting with them; feeding animals, bottle feeding baby animals, riding camels, donkeys and horses, besides holding animals' shows every month.

You also get to explore and learn about the wild life and their natural environment with their reptile and amphibians' houses, indoor marine zone, natural outdoor animal additions, Chimpanzee Park in the entrance, feathered neighbours at the front door, Arabian forte style gates and parks with detailed info imprinted alongside each and every animal to ensure proper acquaintance.

There is also a food station in every corner, where you can stop and nosh with the option to select your favourite background too; viewing animals walking about, green scenery or lounge in a big café and restaurant alongside the sea lion show, it's your call!

On my last visit to the Emirates Park Zoo, we stopped at every food corner and loved the air; with the giraffes and zebras in the background while we were fueling up with freshly squeezed juice or the Arabian mystic mood park with pigeons and birds in every kind surrounding us and humming their own sound. They even opened one cage for us and a flock of white pigeons flew out, while a colourful peacock was walking nearby, and we were feeding them and taking pictures with greeneries as background…it was dreamlike.

The Emirates Park Zoo houses around 660 animals, including a majestic pair of white tigers, Siberian bear, lions, cheetahs and dozens of zebras. But try to go early on weekends 'cause it seems that the lion, the cobra and the tiger twin take long afternoon naps, I tried to wake them up but they were sound asleep…I think they had a long night the day before we visited.

Thinking sea, smell the sweet salt and feel the blue waves brushing your arms at the ocean park; with every kind of fish from eaten to be eaten swimming by your side.

Don't worry about the very hot weather, the park has a misting system that keeps you and the animals cool. You can also buy your kids in-fashion caps and hats at the front door to avoid the direct sun along with animal toys and T-shirts to remember this unique adventure with.
