Named after an Australian swimmer, Olympic champion and world record holder, The Emily Seebohm Aquatic Centre at Fitzgibbon is one of the latest additions to the water playgrounds of Brisbane. The Centre is only 10 months old having opened on 14 February 2016 and is a great place to do laps or just take a dip in the water by offering a range of facilities including:
A heated 25 metre six-lane outdoor pool with accessible ramp A heated 25 metre indoor programs pool with accessible ramp A cafe/kiosk A large grassed leisure area and A shaded seating area.
Welcome to the aquatic centre
Learn to swim classes are provided by Australian Crawl swim schools to teach kids this important, life-saving skill in a happy and enjoyable environment.
Centre opening hours vary between winter and summer. The summer hours between 17 September 2016 to 10 April 2017 are: Monday to Friday: 5.30am-7pm; Saturday: 6am-6pm; Sunday: 8am-6pm; Public holidays: 9am-5pm. Closed Christmas Day, Good Friday and Anzac Day
