Emerge in the North at the Plenty Ranges Arts & Convention Centre - 35 Ferres Blvd, South Morang on 1 July 2017 from 12.00pm to 4.30pm is a wonderful multicultural free event for the the whole family to enjoy.

Presented by: Multicultural Arts Victoria, the City of Whittlesea and Brotherhood of St Laurence, its a brand new event sharing local talent, vibrant colours and infectious sounds profiling local musos, dancers and performers who will proudly share their cultural identity in the heart of the North. Indoors and perfect for all weather, come along and enjoy some high-energy Brazillian percussion; big sounds of afrobeats, reggae, salsa and more. Check out the website for complete details.

Artists performing include -
Lamine Sonko & African Intelligence, an 8-piece ensemble led by Senegalese singer/dancer Lamine Sonko. They'll share their own fusion of contemporary and traditional African rhythms that'll have you moving to the beat.
Kutcha Edwards is a singer/songwriter and a natural story teller, often combining his spoken presentations with a song that exemplifies the points being made.
Niruththa Indian Fine Arts is a dance company that focuses on training and nurturing young artists. Enjoy the group's graceful classical dancing and traditional costumes while they engage you in a masterful, disciplined artform that has been preserved for centuries.
Tumbarumba is a 5-piece percussion band with over 12 years of performing experience. They feature improvised Brazillian and fusion beats that will have you dancing in minutes.
