Parliament House : You'll find Treasury Theatre where the films are showing down the stairs next to Parliament House.

Feel like venturing to unknown worlds? Want to know what it is like to walk in someone else's shoes? The 'Emerge Film Festival', part of the wider Emerge Festival Program by Multicultural Arts Victoria, gives you the opportunity to experience the unknown through film.

The festival exhibits the diverse work of young, emerging filmmakers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities across Victoria Q&A sessions and forums will give patrons the opportunity to meet the filmmakers and ask questions about their film, motivation and experiences. The film Burmese Dreaming by acclaimed filmmaker Timothy Syrota will premiere, sharing the stories of Burmese refugee Say Say La who lives in a refugee camp on the Thai/Burma border.

The festival will take place from Tuesday the 3rd of July until the Thursday the 5th of July at Treasury Theatre. The program on Tuesday and Wednesday night begins at 5.30pm, while the program on Thursday night begins at 6.30pm. Entry is free.
