An excellent place to visit whatever your level of experience or enjoyment. I am a total novice, but went recently with my brother (not a novice, actually quite good), my sister-in-law and my 3yo niece to play on the driving range and putting green.

I had tried "golf" only once before using a simulator at a corporate event, I couldn't hit the ball and it was massively embarrassing, so I vowed to never do it again, but its so much better in real life and I really enjoyed it (and this time I hit the ball) and Emerald Lakes (known as the French Quarter) is just visually stunning.

Emerald Lakes Golf Club
How is your swing?

Its an ideal place for the whole family as it includes something for everyone: a crazy golf course, a driving range, a full 18 hole course (which is floodlit so you can play till 9:30pm), a small playground for kids, putting green, golf school and a great clubhouse that overlooks the course and stunning lakes and offers all kinds of food, drinks and gaming.

Its prices are really reasonable too, its just $10 for a bucket of 80 balls, which is plenty for the driving range and putting green.

Prices:
18 Holes - $72 pp (inc cart) / $53 walking
9 Holes - $40 pp (inc cart) / $28 walking
Golf Under Lights - $37pp (inc cart) / $25 walking
Nine & Dine - $44pp (inc cart) / $32 walking

They have some great offers and events on too - check out their amazing Nine n Dine offer which is 9 holes of golf, dinner and beer for just $44pp. Also if you like a bit of live jazz then check out Jazz Sundays on every Sunday between 12 and 3pm.

It's in such a pretty setting and is a great place to visit whether in a couple, with family or with mates. It was a fab intro into golfing for me; I shall definitely be back to work on my swing!

Located about 8 mins from Broadbeach on the Nerang-Broadbeach Road in Carrara. Just opposite the Metricon Stadium.

Whilst emerald lakes is a nice course, I would also advise to strongly check out North Lakes Resort Golf Club. It's and awesome 18 hole Championship Golf Course in North Brisbane and also has a Driving Range.http://www.northlakesgolfclub.com.au
