Don't miss this one-day, fun-filled FREE festival in the South Melbourne Town Hall precinct, being held this Sunday 9th November, from 10.00am - 4.00pm.

There is a huge program of fun and entertainment, with something for the whole family.

The festival spans western classical music to Burundian drumming, Polynesian dance, Japanese Shamisen and everything in between. Multicultural Arts Victoria has programmed a diverse range of energetic and enthralling performances and interactive activities throughout the day including: Kundalila, Rosario De Marco, Noriko Tadano, Nuholani, Burundian Drumming Group, Byron and the Gypsy Cats, Dani Sib, Vinod Prasanna.

To keep the energy levels up, there will also be the opportunity to taste a global feast from a range of Melbourne's iconic food trucks.

At the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM), located in the South Melbourne Town Hall, a range of activities is on offer, including:

- The Big Sing: an opportunity for you to sing some of the most loved choral works ever written. All welcome.

- children's workshops, including the opportunity for children to 'meet the instruments'

- performances: various concerts featuring the ANAM musicians

- The Big Play: inviting musicians of all ages and abilities to play along with the ANAM orchestra. Registration is essential.

It's also worth a visit to the Australian Tapestry Workshop (262-266 Park Street), where activities include:

- children's weaving: create a mini-masterpiece to take home under the expert guidance of Australian Tapestry staff

- artist talks

- live music.

Don't want the hassle of parking your car? South Melbourne is easily accessible by tram. Catch tram 112 to stop 128 on Clarendon Street, tram 1 to stop 24 on Park Street or tram 96 to stop 127t. If you're feeling energetic, it's approximately a 15 minute stroll from Southern Cross Station: walk along Spencer Street and Clarendon Street, and turn left at Bank Street.
