Start a new hobby
Have you ever tried your hand at embroidery? Do you like to sew and create? Do you want to mix with new people? Do you want to make hand made gifts? Embroidery is an age old craft which can be done on a machine or by hand.

Different kinds of embroidery

If you answered yes to any of these, the Embroiderers Guild is the place to start. This is a non profit organisation which meets weekly and has approximately 500 members and various groups throughout Perth.

Embroidery is a great hobby which is easy to learn and is not overly expensive, and there are many things you can embroider both for yourself and for others.

Basics for embroidery as a hobby

This group, A Stitch in the City, have meetings at Woogies Espresso, in King's Square, Perth, every week.

If you are a beginner, they will help you to get started, and if you already embroider, just bring along your current project or projects. You can make many beautiful things using this method, and they start from simple to very advanced.

After a few weeks!

Come along to Woogies on a Tuesday from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm (it is a free event), and have a fun filled time where you can also have a casual lunch, and mix with like minded people in a supportive environment.
