Ember's Restaurant

Embers Restaurant speaks for itself. Despite being located away from the hub of Kalamunda, it is still a gamble to go on any night without pre-booking- even for small groups. Clearly the crowds that flock every evening are there for more than just convenience.
The restaurant itself exudes a warm feeling, with both indoor and outdoor seating options available. While there is plenty of ambience and a certain amount of tucked away tables-for-two, it lends itself more to large groups of friends, perhaps celebrating a birthday or just looking for a delicious meal.
While for some the unchanging menu may get a little dull, it has offered me the chance to sample a good portion of the available dishes in the many times I have been there.
Despite being officially called Ember's Wood Fired Pizza, it has moved on to include a much richer variety of foods.
Even with the vegetarian pasta- not a name that inspires a lot- the chef manages to pack it with flavour and texture. Likewise the Warm beef salad is filling and filled with rich, saucy beef.
Or if you're looking to share a plate with a friend or just gorge yourself, you can't go past the decadently sweet Zulu Ribs. Rosemary chips, or garlic bread drizzled with balsamic vinegar, are great for a teaser while waiting for your mains.
Despite being packed out every night for their delicious foods, the prices are very reasonable, with most dishes not going above $30.
My only recommendation is to book a table-whatever night you book for you can guarantee it'll be packed.
