Jack Gatto presented
'Elvis The Way It Was' at The Arkaba - Top of the Ark on Friday 25th August 2017 at 8pm. Regarded as one of the best young tribute acts in the world (at only 26 years of age) Gatto stole the hearts of the ladies of the Arkaba leaving them breathless.
One audience member said when she closed her eyes she felt like she was listening to the king himself. Another said it was like stepping back into the 70's watching Elvis move. As the show continued, Gatto made his way through the audience singing to fans and stopped in front of one fan who was a 76 year old baby-bomber who screamed out 'You're Gorgeous'.
At such a young age Gatto has already overtaken the regular Elvis Impersonators to tour Adelaide. He Played all of fans favourite songs while sounding, dancing and talking like Elvis himself but it was incredible to hear him recreate Neil Diamond's 'Sweet Caroline' and Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire.
His show 'The Way It Was' focuses on the early 1970's era of Elvis's music and featured Gatto accompanied by The Australian Elvis Band featuring Jason, Alberto, Michael and backup singers, Bec and Olivia. Gatto invited Deon Symo, aged 1,7 to the stage to sing 'Runaway' - he wowed the audience and left them wanting more. A such a young age, Symo has a great future ahead of him as an Elvis Impersonator.
Gatto's show was in two parts the first featuring a stylish black jumpsuit and the second a white tight jumpsuit which ladies of the audience loved. He wasn't short of loud applause throughout or wolf whistles between the dance moves. Gatto dedicated his life to becoming the best Elvis Impersonator he can be and it definitely showed the way he talked, sang and danced like the king.
Fans were happy to hear their favourite songs including 'The Wonder of You', 'You Don't Have to Say You Love Me', 'Hound Dog', 'Teddy Bear, 'Just Pretend' 'In the Ghetto' and more. Jack Gatto's show, The Way It Was at The Arkaba was an incredible reincarnation of Elvis Presley. It left fans wanting more and hoping for Gatto's return to Adelaide again soon. 5/5 Stars
