A beautiful day with perfect weather cruising Sydney Harbour, a great buffet lunch and live entertainment - what more could you want?

Starting with a champagne cocktail welcome, we set off from Darling Harbour with Sydney Pearl Cruises for an afternoon of fun and relaxation. We toured under the Anzac Bridge first and through Rozelle Bay which I had never entered before by boat. It was good to see this different side. It was also the first time I've laid eyes on the temporary Exhibition Centre at Glebe Island.

It wasn't long after takeoff before lunch was ready and the aromas were enticing us. There was a lot to choose from and we filled our plates with the Beef and Vegetable casserole, a rice medley, Tuscan Portuguese chicken, Penne Boscaiola, German Potato Salad and Garden Salad. Greens and julienne vegetables, Greek salad, coleslaw and bread rolls rounded out the buffet. This was all delicious with the casserole being my favourite.

[BREAK]Our catamaran then took us past the new Barangaroo Reserve, Walsh Bay and under our iconic Harbour Bridge, past the Opera House and the Botanic Gardens. It was then time for 'The King' and some fun. Our professional Elvis impersonator, direct from Memphis, entertained with several Elvis hits, including Suspicious Minds, It's Now or Never, Hound Dog and Return to Sender. He was very likeable and interacted well with guests, drawing out the birthday girls and happily posing for photos with many of us. Oh, and his singing was great too. If I had just heard him on the radio, I would swear it was Elvis himself. He was a great entertainer, just like the real deal. He had everyone on their feet re-creating a scene from Viva Las Vegas, with a line of us dancing and singing around the boat. There was also a dance off between three ladies that ended up being more like pole dancing with each lady trying to impress 'Elvis' to win a CD of Elvis tunes. The crowd cheered for one very clear winner.

Whilst we were being entertained, we were in Woolloomooloo alongside a navy boat at Garden Island before heading to the north side and travelling from Middle Head to around Bradleys Head, past Fort Denison and alongside Luna Park to Lavender Bay. There were so many boats here. Our driver was very skillful manoeuvring tight spots whilst we sat back with some nice moist chocolate cake for dessert.

A DJ also entertained with many popular tunes before our 3 hour cruise took us back to the King St Wharf at Darling Harbour, very relaxed. If you want to do this cruise, don't despair as there are plenty more upcoming dates and it can also be booked as a dinner cruise.
