This is a brilliant initiative by the community for the community! It's the Ellenbrook and Surrounds Christmas Festival on Saturday 3rd December 2016, 12 noon - 6pm.

This event has been running for a number of years in different forms and staged by different organisations but last year that all changed when three motivated ladies decided it was time for a change. They wondered if the community could run the event, form a collective and bring the community together. The answer was yes, and they have been planning the 2016 Christmas Festival since February this year.

The Ellenbrook Community Collective are proud to bring the residents of Ellenbrook and surrounding areas, a free and enjoyable day out with lots of Christmas spirit!

Take a stroll through the street market and mingle with the various stalls made up of small, home based local businesses and community groups. The community groups will be there to inform promote and educate on their individual local groups which will include sporting and dance groups.



There will be lots of entertainment and fun for big and little kids, the young and the old, including rides, cooking demonstrations, a culture presentation, Youth Zone, sporting personality appearances and a variety of entertainment on centre stage. The Fisher Boys (X Factor final 12 last year) will help the crowd get festive with a dazzling performance plus music from other bands and local artists.

There will be rides and an animal farm (not sure Rudolph will be attending!) and why not get something festive painted on your face by the talented face painters?



The Christmas Pageant will begin at 4pm and will include approximately 40 different participant groups. Applications are currently still open for participant groups to register for the Pageant. Click here for more information.



Make it a family festive day out and bring your picnic rugs and set up camp in the picnic area. Everyone is welcome, including the dog! Wear your Christmas t-shirts, warm up your vocal cords for some carol singing and keep your eyes peeled as I'm sure Santa will be making an appearance throughout the day too!

It's all happening down Main Street and the Town Square.

This event will enable residents to connect with other members of the community, local community groups & local businesses. Join in and grow the connection and relationship between the community.

All this organised by volunteers working together along with the City of Swan and business sponsors. All residents thank in advance those involved who have made this Christmas bonanza happen!
