Visual insight into urban Sydney
I was looking for the Art Gallery that the sign said existed in Elizabeth St. It is supposed to be somewhere between Goulburn St and Hay Street.

I walked up and down looking and could see no entrance to any building that looked like it was being used as a Gallery space.

I always love water.

Then I looked at the building that housed the rail tracks with a car park over the top of it. It had a series of photographs in the wall space, which were all of what seemed ordinary people in ordinary scenes. Ordinary places in extraordinary photos. I began to walk up past them and take each in.

This I learnt was the gallery. It is part of the City of Sydney's new City Art project. It is street art that tells a story. A story of people past, present and possibly those moving into the future and what is their life.

If you walk one way, the pictures seem to show one story. If you walk past the photos from a different direction, you see each photo slightly differently. It seems as if different details stand out from different angles.
