The small township of
Elizabeth , which is now an outer northern suburb of Adelaide, was born out of the need to replenish materials used in the Second World War. It was decided by the Government of South Australia that the state needed to grow and become industrialised. Located in the City of Playford, Elizabeth was established on 16 November 1955 and as the name indicates, the town was named after Queen Elizabeth II.
In the 2016 census, Elizabeth had a population of 1,024 people and many of those people love the game of Bingo. Diggers Bingo is held every Wednesday evening at the Elizabeth RSL Diggers with a Mini Session commencing at 6.30pm and the Main Session at 8.00pm.
Elizabeth RSL Diggers has excellent facilities whether for a quiet night out or large family get-togethers and weddings. You do not need to be a returned soldier or ex serviceman or woman to be a member.
Membership is open to everyone, subject to approval. The
Bistro serves a variety of meals on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 5.30 to 8.00pm.
Why not have a meal before heads are down for the famous Diggers Bingo events. Elizabeth RSL can be found at 70 Midway Road, Elizabeth East. If you wish to speak to someone regarding the Bingo, you can contact the RSL on 08-8255 7670
