Elizabeth Quay is a lovely place to visit. It's a short walk from Perth CBD and is a gateway to other parts of Greater Perth. It was named after Queen Elizabeth, however, locals told me that they wished it had been given a Noongar name.
There are restaurants, cafes and places to sit and watch the Swan River. You could happily have a nice picnic here and let the kids run around. You can catch a ferry to Fremantle, Rottnest Island and various other places in Perth from here. There are also food truck festivals at various times of year in the park.
I was lucky enough to go to Revely with a bunch of locals. Revely has a great outdoor space, a nice bar and a good cocktail menu. The service is good. It also has nice views of the Swan River.
I highly recommend a visit to Elizabeth Quay when you're next in Perth.
