If you are looking for possibly the best piece of cake in Kalamunda, serves up delicious slices in a child and dog-friendly environment.



I do love a bit of cake (*ahem*) ok, yes, I am obsessed with cake. My youngest daughter has a bit of a sweet tooth too, so I took both of my children to this delightful cafe in the Perth Hills for a treat.



Not only is child-friendly and has a play area, but it is also dog-friendly, with lots of poochy pals accompanying their humans to the café and sitting outside.



We arrived in time for morning tea and I chose a delicious, completely indulgent looking Red Velvet Cake to enjoy, plus a cappuccino and a babycinno for my toddler.



There was a little bit of a wait on the coffee, but that was understandable as the café was fairly busy. The kids got stuck into playing with the toys, including a gorgeous little wooden aeroplane that they both loved sitting in. There is also a selection of toys and books available.



If the Red Velvet Cake looked delicious and indulgent, it certainly tasted just as delicious and indulgent, with a delightful cream filling and topping and beautiful red velvet sponge. Yum!



My youngest and I didn't hold back, but my older daughter wasn't really interested. She is more of a savoury girl. Missing out if you ask me! She enjoyed her babyccino and she was just too busy playing with the toys.



The coffee was tasty too – not too weak, not too strong and not burnt! I did have to drink it in a bit of a hurry though, as our street parking was only one hour, so by the time we gobbled the cake and drank the coffee and picked up a tonne of crumbs from the floor, it was time to go.



serves breakfast until 2:30pm, with the menu including options such as eggs on toast, pancake stacks with toppings and avo smash. They also serve a range of cakes and slices, plus hot drinks and milkshakes.

If you are in the hills and have your children or pooch with you, is one to check out and enjoy a slice of cake and coffee.
