Chicken wings are one of the most popular dishes in the West. A staple in front of a million television screens on Super Bowl day in the USA and finally a successful hangover cure by Colonel Sanders himself.

Ireland is home to some of the most hearty dishes the world has seen. Steak & Guinness stew, Colcannon and Potato & Mushroom Soup to name a few. A restaurant that takes these traditional dishes and places them off to the side and brings in some main stream goodness, with a unique Irish influence, is Elephant & Castle Restaurant in Dublin.
The restaurant originated in New York and then opened its Dublin restaurant in 1989. Since then the restaurant has been a foodie landmark to tourists who have come far and wide to try its much talked about Spicy Wings in a Basket.
Marinated in a sweet and spicy marinade make Elephant & Castle's wings a delicious starter to any dish. Definitely living up to their reputation and teamed with a blue cheese sauce give a perfect flavour coating to the already delectable wings.
When you are in Dublin make sure you head to the Elephant & Castle and get stuck into this sticky basket of goodness. Remember to stock up on serviettes as you will need them.
