Park in New York. Thousands of music fans attend the event and it turns out to be an all out party from start to finish.
There's going to be an incredible amount of talent performing at the festival. On September 2, some of the well-known names include Tiesto, MSTRKRFT and Carl Cox. A few names performing on September 3 include David Guetta, John Digweed, Ferry Corsten, Danny Tenaglia and Super Mash Bros. The last night of the festival includes Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Richie Hawtin and Infected Mushroom.
Each day the doors are open from 11am to 11pm; it's an all ages, rain or shine event. There are a variety of ticket and package options – it starts at $109 for a one day pass to the festival not including transportation and prices go up from there. There are multi-day passes and VIP packages available as well as ticket prices that include transportation.
Some of the items you're not allowed to bring include backpacks, chairs, bottles, bicycles, pets, umbrellas and glowsticks. Considering it's an outdoor event, you should definitely bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and a blanket. You're better off skipping the flip flops and wearing sneakers unless you want your feet crushed – there's a lot of people going and you will get stepped on.
The best methods of transportation to get to the event include taking the ferry, the shuttle bus from East 124th Street or taking express buses. The other options include walking in from the footbridge on East 103rd Street or driving in. There's a fee to park and there's no overnight parking.
You can buy tickets the day of the event if they're available, but considering the amount of people that are expected to attend, you're better off buying tickets beforehand to ensure you get the tickets you want as well as access to the transportation you're thinking of taking.
