Electric vehicles or EV as they are commonly called is a vehicle powered by electricity from an off-vehicle source. Some are also self-contained with a battery, solar panels or an electric generator converting fuel to electricity. They are becoming very popular as an economical vehicle and are now not limited to a vehicle. All over the world, buses, trucks, motorcycles and trains are using electricity as their preferred method of power. Although they came into existence in the mid-19th century, EVs have seen a huge interest in the 21st century due to an increased focus on renewable energy and new technical developments.
On Saturday 10th November 2018 at the Brisbane Conference and Exhibition Centre, South Bank you will have the opportunity to learn more about electric vehicles at the first Electric Vehicle (EV) Free Expo.
The expo is showcasing the latest designs in passenger cars, industrial vehicles, motorbikes, bikes and scooters. Hyundai, Nissan, Jaguar and Renault will be some of the car types to be seen on the day, plus a range of industry participants.
This will be a great opportunity for you to source the latest and up-to-date information from the experts and also EV owners. Discover the facts why EVs are taking the world by storm - you may decide to never fill up again! During the day there will be three speaker sessions. These sessions are from 10am to Noon, 12.30 – 2.30pm and 3.00 to 5.30pm. This program can also be read on the website.
