Eldinhope Green

I am always looking out for new experiences, wherever I may find myself.

If we're being honest, most people will probably never visit Eldinhope Green. It's located in the back streets of North Wahroonga and difficult to get to from the main roads.

However, anyone living on Morris Avenue, or even Junction Lane (provided you're on foot) will inspire jealousy in others because this place is a very pretty little local park.

I think Eldinhope Green left a great impression on me because it's less tame than other parks. On my visit, the grass was overgrown, there were autumn leaves everywhere and it felt like it must be very private, but such a nice place.

The main attraction here is the two square timber areas that together make up the playground. One holds a set of swings and the other an equipment set. They're both located near the back of the park.

Beside each square is a bench (a little old, worn and dirty) beneath nearby trees. Another bench, under another tree, is located closer to the road, and there is some open grass beside it.

For anyone living further afield than the streets I've mentioned, if you happen to be in this area, while this park is nice, there are others that are probably more worth your while. Golden Jubilee Field has the most facilities, including a playground, dog park and heaps of sports facilities. Cliff Oval is another option, and has bushwalks and fields, while at Claude Cameron Grove humans and dogs share the whole park.

It's a little further away, closer to the train line, but Wahroonga Park is my favourite spot in this area; it's just so beautiful.
