El Coco will transform the Exchange Hotel in King Street this December into a Cuban pop-up bar, the ultimate way to start dreaming of a summer vacation while seeing out the last few (stressful) weeks in the office for 2014.
Expect a super colourful, tropical, musical and wonderful urban retreat. However this pop-up bar is so much more than just kitsch décor, with Sebastian Raeburn of the glorious 1806 on Lonsdale St serving your drinks, and Hammer and Tong chef Simon Ward creating a Cuban-inspired menu, this temporary venue packs a punch! El Coco is the lovechild of the people behind some of Melbourne's favourite bars, with the management team including the professional who run Secret Garden, LUX, The St Kilda Branch, The Deck and Palate. With this stellar line up of hospitality heavy-weights, on-board you can expect to see some of Melbourne's food and drink royalty in attendance as this bar, and quality in all service and garnishes.

El Coco opened their doors on 12 November, however the party officially starts on 28 November and lasts for a month. If Friday night drinks are not your scene, but you like the sound of El Coco, you can head down from 12noon for lunch on Fridays (only).
