Brisbane Plus August = Ekka
Every year Brisbane's August winds sweep through town and a distinctive and familiar call hangs in the air. What is it? It's the call of strawberry sundaes, showbags, fairy floss, fireworks, and the Grand Parade; it's the call of Brisbane's favourite show, the Ekka.

Ekka is part of Brisbane's DNA, just as surely as that big brown river, summer storms and jacarandas in springtime. They may have spent the last 12 months transforming the physical surroundings of the Ekka's spiritual home but some things will always be the same and your favourites are back for another year, along with a few surprises from Wednesday 8 to Saturday 17 August.

As always, there's a huge program of entertainment for the whole family.
It just wouldn't be the Ekka without showbags and the Triple M Showbag Pavilion will be offering everything from AFL to Air Force 1, Bertie Beetle to Betty Boop, Monsters University to Mr Men, and Smarties to Smurfettes. You can do your showbag research online here to find the contents and prices of all bags and plan your attack by downloading the showbag pavilion map here.
There is a huge range of ticket packages available this year from adult ($28), child ($17) and concession ($21) Day Passes to family value tickets and bundles, including a Family Fun Day Pass ($65), or Ultimate Family Bundle ($167) and add-ons like a $40 Ride Card or Family Meal Deal ($55). You can view all ticket prices and inclusions here and purchase online here.
RACQ members can purchase earlybird tickets through RACQ before 7 August to receive a 10% discount. They can also buy unlimited ride bands for the Ekka's opening day and receive discounts on food and drink at certain Ekka outlets. See here for all details and to purchase online.
