Farm animal rescue are asking for volunteers at Ekka
It's not long now and the day of the year we all wait for will be finally here – EKKA. Once again, the Farm Animal Rescue will be welcoming you and your family at the entrance gate.
Founded in 2011, the Farm Animal Rescue, Australia's aim is to rescue and provide a sanctuary for farm animals from the animal agriculture industry. They also wish to educate the public that animals are wonderful and not just food for our tables.
As they are a non-profit organisation, they rely on volunteers to assist at events. This year they are looking for outreach volunteers to hand out their Ekka Lies Flyer, which give recipients their organisation's point of view for the future of farms animals on the planet. If you would like to be a volunteer, please contact them on their Facebook page.
Volunteers are asked to wear all black attire with no vegan, plant-based, animal rights or other organisations on your tees. Volunteers are asked to meet on the corner of Gregory Terrace and Bowen Bridge Road across from the Ekka at 8.30am.
