"Something's going on… It's called Einbunpin, Something's going on… real soon, A festival of fun… Einbunpin". So are the lyrics from the Einbunpin Festival song from Peter Vance.

Each year, the waterside community of Sandgate hosts the Einbunpin Festival to celebrate its distinctive lifestyle and diverse community. The Festival is held in the picturesque Einbunpin Lagoon Parklands. The theme of this year's festival is "Celebrating The Community."

This free event will feature:
- 4 stages
- Performances by local talent
- 175 stalls
- A visit by the mystical creature, "The Bunpin"
- Games and activities.

The Festival runs from 9am – 4pm on Sunday 30 July 2017 and promises to be a great day out for the whole family. The Einbunpin Festival began in 1992 and pays homage to the environment, the village atmosphere and strong sense of community which makes Sandgate so unique. The Festival is calling for local photography enthusiasts to sign up as volunteer photographers so why not get involved. Visual art competitions including poster design and canvas boards have been called in the lead up to the Festival and will be displayed during the event.

With limited parking, the free Wiz Bus has been chartered to travel through Brighton, Deagon, Shorncliffe and Sandgate and will stop outside the Festival in Brighton Road. This is a people only event so be sure to leave pup at home (except for assistance animals). Experience, celebrate and enjoy the best that Sandgate has to offer.
