Just real, honest, healthy and yummy food done right
When applying the 80/20 rule to a healthy lifestyle, 80% of the time good healthy food and 20% treating yourself. This rule is a good one to live by whether in food or life and a cafe in Canberra has adopted this as their philosophy.

On a recent trip to our Nation's Capital, my son and I had the pleasure of having breakfast here at the Eighty/Twenty cafe in Braddon. It is located in the trendy Lonsdale street which hosts many cafes and restaurants.

Eighty/Twenty cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating area and is located on the street corner where people watching is optional.

Eighty/Twenty serve up "real, healthy, honest and delicious food and nutrient-packed smoothies along with homemade raw desserts and damn good coffee" according to their webpage.

Breakfast menu

The breakfast menu was quite varied and difficult to make a quick decision but for me, old habits die hard so I opted for the Avo and tomato (warm tomatoes, avocado served on rye sourdough with dukkah, Danish fettta, basil oil and zucchini, snow pea tendrils and lemon salad) for $16.

My son went for the breakfast wrap for $14 (bacon, eggs, tomato, haloumi, spinach and house BBQ sauce).

I enjoyed a double shot cappuccino and my son had an ice coffee ($6).

Good coffee

Verdict, coffee was strong and very good wake up call and the meal was tasty and very hearty which was good as we were catching a plane back to Brisbane soon after breakfast.

Service was efficient and staff friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and very welcoming.
