Hidden behind an unobtrusive little hole in the wall café front is a secret garden.

You walk through the seemingly normal café and the room opens into a pebble garden showcasing a huge tree as the centrepiece.

The sunny courtyard feel adds a serene element to this hideaway on the busy Darling St.

[BREAK]The menu is small but there's some interesting options. Even the drinks include some elaborate options. The Coconut Mango smoothie includes fresh coconut water & flesh, with the organic mango. The Chocolate Berry smoothie tastes like a dessert, with raw cacao mixed with the berries, banana and coconut milk, giving it a rich chocolate flavour.

We opted for the Burrawong pasture-raised organic chicken liver pate, served with Pure Life Sprouted Ezekiel Bread, EOTU Lacto-Fermented Pickles & Chutney. I'm not entirely sure what that means but it is gluten free, and very, very tasty.

The Perfect Circle Salad includes a selection of raw & fermented salads, cashew cream, activated nut pesto, tahini dip and EOTU raw crackers to scoop the dips with. The crackers are seeded and crisp, and the salads included shaved carrot and shaved beetroot. Appealing to the eye and the platter was wiped clean!

Lastly, opting for more pedestrian fare, the B.L.A.T - little needs to be said but the bacon was cooked crispy as requested, and the bread was toasted and flavoursome with whole grains & seeds.

At roughly $20 a head, it was a great lunch in a lovely peaceful setting, fittingly adjoining a yoga studio.

Returning onto the busy street highlighted what a serene little universe they've created.
