Getting out in nature means that you will never know what it is that you're going to find. And if you're not used to spending time in nature, then you will never know what sort of stuff you might be able to eat and what you shouldn't. But there are lots of weeds that you can find in nature that are completely edible and are often tasty. If you want to learn, then you will want to head to the Edible Weed Forage workshop with Annie, who knows all the tips and tricks for eating in nature.



There is so much potential in nature where you can live off of the land. There are weeds that are edible, and there are also weeds that you can prepare and cook for a hot meal too. The food can be tasty and nutritious, and if you can find them in the fields, then they will be free as well. And with the cost of living going up all of the time, then there is nothing better than getting something for free.

You will walk through the Perth City Farm Site and learn about everything in the garden and how to identify the dangerous from the safe to eat. This does mean that you will be walking over mulched ground which can be uneven. So you have to be able to walk this terrain, but if you think that you will be unable to do that, then you can contact them and they can arrange a modified session for you.

This is a $45 workshop, but the knowledge you will gain will be helpful for as long as you want to eat weeds. After this workshop, you will see the world around you in a very different way.
Book your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Head to the Perth City Farm on June 17th. The doors to the farm opens at 9:30am and the session will end at 11:30am. This means that you could be eating weeds for lunchtime!
