We all have our favourites when it comes to food. Some can't go past a box of BBQ shapes at home, but where is your favourite when it's time to go out?

Some of us can't pass up pastries, others love pizza, what is Melbourne's yummiest pleasures?

My family can't go past the Veggie Bar on Brunswick street.

I asked some of my friends and here are some of their suggestions (not tried or tested by myself, just going on their recommendations) to get this question rolling:

Chocolate from Ganache Chocolate

Huxtaburger on Smith Street. Best burger/fries combo.

Indian food and the amazing mango lassies - the best ever, from Carlton Curry House on Lygon Street.

Ice cream from Trampoline - huge range of gelatis and drizzled with real chocolate in Brunswick Street.

Baguettes - fresh crunchy bread with great fillings from Laurent Boulengerie.

French Vanilla slice from the French Lettuce

Pastries from Brunetti.

Vietnamese pork roll from Keilor Park Bakery on Wyong Street yummy bread roll filled with pork, chilli, carrot great deal at $3.30.

Deep fried eggplant chips with tsatziki from Melissas in Templestowe

Pots of tea and cakes at The Hopetoun Bakery - Melbourne CBD.

Jam and cream doughnuts from the Beechworth Bakery.

High Tea at the Langham Hotel.

Mmmmmm, enough to get you drooling already!

We would love to hear your thoughts, tell us, where is your favourite eating place and what delights does it hold for us?
