A pretty touch to any disha flower of course
You know your fruits from vegetables, but how much do you really know about edible blooms? A bunch of flowers is not just pretty in a vase or landscape, it could also feature in your next salad bowl!

Head to The Joinery on Franklin Street on Saturday the 10th of December at 2:30 pm. Run by volunteers and employees who are equally passionate about the environment, recycling and making a difference. The Edible Flowers workshop will be hosted by Diane Salvi and presented by Sarah Kibble from "Honest Earth". Join them in a friendly educational session on homegrown edible flowers.

The workshop includes an introduction on edible blooms, a walk around The Joinery's own garden, so you can identify and harvest some petals and of course, you will be using these to make a little salad and decorate a cake for afternoon tea! All of this for a tiny $15! It is not just money spent, it is an investment. Next time you go on that morning walk, you won't be just looking at the pretty flowers...

The Joinery or Adelaide Sustainability Centre is supported by the Adelaide Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resource Management Board and Conservation Council of South Australia.
