I'm a grandmother, a retired teacher, an avid reader who loves historical re-enactment, English Country Dance, writing and Op Shopping. My business www.StepIntoHistory.com.au is designed to help children experience history through school incursions.
On my way back to Brisbane after being at the Sunshine Coast, I often stop for a break and a coffee before facing the city traffic at Eden Gardens at Carseldine.
To me, it's the North side counterpart of
Plants Plus, only better because it has a cafe beside a duck filled pond.

A peaceful, pretty setting.
There is also a small fenced playground adjacent to the cafe.

A small playground.
Naturally they supply all the usual plants and garden necessities - soil, seeds, pots and tools.

Check out the fork plant stand.

Potted colour everywhere.

Beautiful water features.
They also stock a fabulous array of decor and gifts. I was greatly tempted by the rose gum boots with matching gloves.

I'm sure I'd have a greener thumb in these.
I saw any number of potential Christmas gifts.

The bonsai look absolutely stunning on the red wall.
If you've ever thought of doing a planting in a pallet, you don't have to bother because here's one that was prepared earlier.

Stunning bonsai display.

You'll want to rush home and paint a wall red.
You can also earn Eden cash with purchases over $100 at the moment.

Earn Eden cash.
There is also an education programme where you can learn skills such as composting, garden design, rose care and much more.
Eden Gardens have centres in Sydney and Melbourne as well as Brisbane.

You'll be sure to return.
