Melinda at believes that toys should be safe for kids to play with and also kind to our planet. As a mother of three young children, she wants them to be surrounded by natural toys that she knows are safe, and have been made ethically and in an environmentally conscious way. Melinda seeks this for all children, so they will value the beauty of the natural world. "By giving a child an eco toy, you are helping to protect the child's future" she states.

Eco toys are crafted from natural, sustainable, recyclable, biodegradable and/or recycled materials. Their toys are safe, non-toxic, educational, and encourage imaginative play. supports Australian made, Australian designed, and ethical manufacturers.

My twin boys are loving their Kinetic Sand , a gift from for review. Kinetic Sand is described as a "fun, indoor, mess-free, play sand". I would probably call it "less-mess" in lieu of "mess-free", but it's definitely fun. When pressure is applied to Kinetic Sand, it keeps its shape, allowing for sculpting and molding like wet beach sand. Kinetic Sand is totally reusable and it never dries out. "Sand play with Kinetic Sand stimulates and develops children's fine motor and creative playing skills." While it can get a bit messy, it leaves no sand or residue on your hands cleans up easily Word to the wise, make sure the surfaces and floor are crumb-free before beginning play; makes clean up a lot easier.

Kinetic Play Sand is 98% natural sand and 2% Polydimethyl siloxane, a non-toxic bonding agent that causes the sand to stick only to itself in a soft clump. As well as non-toxic, Kinetic Sand is anti-microbial and also adheres to Australian safety standards. Kinetic Sand is also great for kids with allergies - it is wheat, gluten and casein free and 100% safe and non-toxic. Playing indoor with Kinetic Sand is an amazing tactile and soothing experience.

A best-seller, the rainstick tower, is a unique and stimulating toy, with brightly coloured balls that fall through two sets of holes. Various stages and ages enjoy this toy for the different levels of creative play that it offers, from tummy time to maze-like inventive play. I must add though, it doesn't sound as "rainstick-like" as I had hoped; more like a soft rattle.
