Eco Soul Collective is a collective of over 80 small businesses, focusing on friendly and ethical practices. They have a shop in Belgrave and a soon to open one in Mt. Evelyn. This article is about their pop-up shop at the Lilydale Market Place until Mother's Day.

All items on display would make a nice Mother's Day gift for all mothers.

I particularly liked the series of plaques about grandmothers, be you are a Nonna, Nana, Yiayia, oma or just a plain old grandparent.

The most unusual item I saw was a range of cactus handbags made from cactus leather. I was pleased to see the thorns had been removed.

Only a few of the collective businesses were represented. Sito sunglasses was one with some other Sito products.

Another was Nouvelle Lune luxury candles. Made in the Yarra Valley, these are made from hand-poured coconut soy wax.

Eco Soul is jointly owned by Courtney, Alison & Jess. Alison was on hand at the pop-up and explained that stallholders can rent a shelf, an island display or a clothing rack monthly in their shop.

Handmade earrings by Boriique are featured on a rotating display stand showing their unique and colourful designs.

Grounded Soul Aromatherapy displayed a large range of essential oils, including, clarity, focus, headache relief, sleep, unwind and calm. Body oils and cocosoy candles are also featured.

Dried plant arrangements and two hats complemented each other with hats displaying small, dried plant arrangements in their hat bands.

Another range of aromatherapy by doTerra was noted with lemon, lemongrass and lavender being three of the range.

An interesting corner of the display showed chai tea, drinking chocolate, marshmallows and Munchi Chinos, which are reusable coffee cups.

Whatever your mum's age, you will surely find an appreciative gift at Eco Soul.
