You're invited by Carla from Eco Printed aka Elemental Leaf to come along and enjoy the beautiful, natural process of eco printing. The workshop is on Tuesday 5 February 2019 from 10am to 2pm. The venue is an hours drive from Melbourne at Don Rd, Healesville, and the exact location will be given to you after you purchase a place at the workshop. It's a small intimate workshop with 6 adult seats and 4 children's spaces only. If you need to squeeze one more in, let Carla know.
Even though spaces are limited (book now), there's a possibility, with a flood of interest, more workshops will be run in the future. You could message Carla and register your interest for future workshops. Cost ranges from $55-$75 depending on what you're making.
You're welcome to bring your own top (just message for fibre and size requirements), but the cost is still the same. Suited to all ages, bring your bestie, your kids, family, anyone interested in the natural processes that are kinder to our environment, and enjoy a workshop of eco printed cotton tees, wet felting and bees wax wrap making. Immerse yourself in the beautiful art practice of eco printing that'll draw your attention and increase your appreciation of mother nature as you play with her natural shapes and colours.
This workshop is an introduction to eco printing where you'll use plant matter to create prints on cotton t-shirts. While eco printing bundles infuse, you'll dabble in cold press hand printing fabric with rose petals before you turn them into beeswax wraps; a skill you can employ for a lifetime for an environmentally friendly future.
From your botanically printed paper, you'll make an intuitive art piece using botanical house made paints, and play with felting techniques. There's a lot you're going to get out of this workshop, not to mention a whole lot of fun learning something new that's kinder to our world. Make sure you bring a hat, a drink bottle and a picnic lunch. Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little botanical dye on, as its bound to happen right? You'll be having too much fun to care, so come along like a woodlands fairy and enjoy a workshop filled with the love of nature.
If you'd love to introduce your children to the amazing possibilities of eco friendly craft activities and open their eyes to be mindful of our beautiful environment and the earth we live on, click on the above link to find out more about this workshop which basically does all the adults do, but with little people their own size.
