Life is beautiful
Work getting you down? Life a bit hum drum? Well, add a little bit of sparkle to your everyday and sign up for this series. Run by the Put Your Heart Into It collaborative team, the Eco Styling Workshop series teaches a range of styling techniques, including wedding styling, photography styling, event styling, food styling and much, much more.
One of the great things about the Eco Styling workshops is the eco-aesthetic that runs through the business. As Laura stylist and teacher says, "It's about being both stylish and environmentally friendly at the same time. Put Your Heart Into It is on a mission to be as sustainable as possible. In my work for instance, I make sure all my props and materials are reusable while creating stylish presentations for my clients."
The Eco Styling workshops are based in Northcote at the Big Bang Studios which has a variety friendly start-ups from photography businesses through to interior design, all with a sustainability focus.
I attended the last workshop in the series that focused on food styling and how to create those amazing grazing boards you see at wineries and fancy hotels. It was all about learning how to design with everyday objects to create stylish table presentations and bring that 'wow' factor into all your home events, from dinner parties to baby showers, without creating unnecessary waste.
As Laura said 'If someone has made an effort to dress up and come to your dinner party or event, it's really nice to put some thought into your food and table presentation, it creates wonderful memories."
Each workshop is accompanied by a grazing smorgasbord with great wine, food and the chance to meet interesting people in a friendly atmosphere.
The Eco Styling Workshops are inspiring and certainly brought a smile to my face.
