Located next to the Mawson Lakes branch of Fasta Pasta, Ebisu Sushi Train fittingly specialises in offering a wide variety of sushi. We ordered an assortment of sushi and requested for them to be arranged in a platter.

Aburi Sushi is a type of sushi in which the meat is lightly torched or grilled. The salmon in the Aburi Salmon Nigiri had a good amount of charred flavour while still retaining its freshness. In addition to Aburi Salmon Nigiri, we also had Aburi Spicy Salmon Roll, which was a sushi roll with a filling of lightly pickled prawn and cucumber, topped with a slice of Aburi Spicy Salmon.

The other types of sushi that we chose were Cooked Tuna Rolls, Spicy Beef Rolls and Soft Shell Crab Rolls. Our favourite was the Soft Shell Crab Rolls, which had pieces of soft shell crab that were fried to a golden brown. We thought the beef in the Spicy Beef Rolls could do with a bit more spice. Accompanying the sushi were soy sauce, pickled ginger and wasabi that can be used to enhance the flavour.

For those not in the mood for sushi, Ebisu also offers salads and hot dishes, which includes udon, ramen and donburi dishes.
