A "Must Do" for Foodies and Families
Eats & Beats Markets is a monthly family affair featuring decadent foods, entertainment and activities. These free pop-up markets are held at various Logan City locations, 5:00-9:00pm, the last Friday of each month.
Eats & Beats showcases the beauty of Logan City and the community pride of local residents. A multitude of fairy lights twinkle, families and friends gather to share a meal and the sounds of laughter and musical performances fill the evening air.
A wide array of specialty food and drink vans will tempt both families and foodies alike. Multicultural foods and highly creative desserts and treats will indulge the senses and impress the most discerning taste buds. Unfortunately, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are not well advertised. It is only recently that indicative symbols have been included on the map of vendors.
Long harvest tables are joined into rows, encouraging communal eating arrangements. Smaller table and chair settings allow for more intimate settings for couples and small groups. Of course, visitors are welcome to bring a blanket and enjoy their purchases picnic-style.
Logan City's finest and up and coming performers delight the crowd with singing, musical instruments, dancing and even circus acts. Interested entertainers are invited to email the events team with information of act, links to videos and social media and a quote for a 45 minute set: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Unlike other markets, significant efforts are made to engage and entertain children. Regular contributors include Sparky Do-Dah with his pop-up playground and the First Five Forever / Logan City Library representatives with simple crafts and story telling.
