All I can say is "wow" to this newest vibrant market place, the
Eat Street Markets, where you can travel and taste your way around the world with many exotic and international foods, without getting on a plane. It is all right here in the local Brisbane precinct, Macarthur Avenue, Hamilton Wharf next to Portside.
WHEN: Every Friday and Saturday night, from 4pm to 10pm
Come here and listen to free, live entertainment, absorb art, mingle with people, smell the aromatic and sensational flavours and eat and drink as you please. For those who enjoy a craft beer, cocktail or fine wine there are containers set up as small cool bars. Check out some of these cool looking drinks below.
A stall of interest is the one run by Jake & Elle from "My Kitchen Rules" who joined Eat Street Markets from the 22nd of November with their fantastic new container stall - "Chitty Banh Banh" be sure to drop by and try the food on their menu.
Words below, from the creator/s of these markets;
"I have always wanted to recreate the hustle and bustle of the fabulous food markets of Asia, where you can experience the most fantastic regional dishes for next to nothing; with the fun, energy exotic flavours, wafts of wonderful aromas and noise in Brisbane," says Peter Hackworth of the Peter Hackworth Group who are the creators and managers of the most successful and longest running craft and farmers markets, festivals and events.
"'We are bringing Eat Street markets to the Hamilton Wharf with our own style! Young musicians, warehouse pallets for seating, damn good food at a great price; 'Eat Street' will become the hot destination in Brisbane – there's just nothing else like it"
