Drive-in movies are retro cool at Eat Street Markets
If you're one of those nostalgic people who laments the demise of drive-in movies, or if you're a Gen X, Y or Zer who's never had the pleasure, then you need to know that from Friday 6 November Eat Street Markets, Brisbane's street food playground, will be serving up the retro cool of drive-in movies along with its international cuisine and musical entertainment. Eat Street Drive-In Movies and outdoor cinema are set to become a regular feature on Friday and Saturday nights.

New release blockbusters will be the order of the day with a Hollywood classic or two thrown into the mix occasionally. You'll find the drive-in just a few minutes' picturesque walk from Eat Street Markets along Macarthur Avenue on the banks of the Brisbane River.

Your drive-in experience doesn't have to be confined to your car. If you prefer the company of other movie goers to the seclusion of your vehicle you're welcome to jump out and pull up a moon chair and enjoy your cinematic experience al fresco at the Dress Circle, directly in front of the screen. Let's face it, Brisbane is the perfect place for movies under the stars. You don't even have to bring your car at all. Just catch the CityCat to Northshore and take a 4 minute walk.

But if you want the full drive-in ambience set yourself up in comfort in your vehicle and visit the onsite American style retro diner or use the 'Yellow Flag' service. Simply place the yellow flag provided to you on entry on your car roof and one of the roving Segway crew will visit you with snacks, non-alcoholic drinks and ice cream for purchase.

You just need to show your movie ticket for free entry to the markets on the night of your booking.
