The Joondalup Resort will be holding a vegan afternoon on 21st October 2018. It will be held at the Resort, Country Club Boulevard, Connolly from 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm.
This promises to be a fun, interactive afternoon of vegan-friendly wine and gourmet food. The aim is not only to bring you good food and wine but also to raise money for our own wildlife warriors!
This will be a really great 5-course meal including a sumptuous dessert buffet and premium matching wines per course. The cost is only $79 per person which is a great price!
Having been to another
vegan food fair lunch , I can personally recommend vegan food.
Now I am not a vegan, nor am I even a vegetarian any more, and I had always thought vegan food would be boring - not so! It was fabulous and just as good as any meal containing meat. I found it quite amazing to see what people can create without actually using meat - once again, check out my above article to learn more!
At this function, there will also be a guest speaker, Katherine Brown. Katherine is a winemaker, from local, popular company,
Brown Brothers.
There will also be some fabulous prizes that you could win. Win beautiful jewellery by Park Lane just by playing Blingo Bingo. Or join the mystery ingredient challenge and test your wine knowledge with the mystery wine options game.

What Exactly is a Vegan?
A vegan is a type of vegetarian diet that excludes meat, eggs, dairy products and all other animal-derived ingredients. Many vegans also do not eat foods that are processed using animal products, such as refined white sugar and some wines.
Vegan refers to either a person who follows this way of eating, or it refers to the diet itself. There are certain foods that some vegan do not eat, and therefore there is some debate as to whether these foods should form part of the vegan diet, or not. These include foods such as honey, which is considered by some vegans as a food they will not eat, as it is an animal product.
Most vegans will also avoid using personal and household products that are tested on animals and will not use products such as leather, fur and wool. This is all a very personal choice and probably depends on the reason for a person becoming a vegan.
Give it a go! If you have never eaten a vegan meal, make sure you book for this event!
